How can I get debt advice
We can offer you a complete counselling session by calling our Helpline and speak to one of our advisors on 0845 055 8152.
They will collect information from you and if necessary will arrange an appointment with a debt counsellor either straight away or at a time that suits you.
What do I need to prepare?
It really helps if you can have the following information to hand before you start the Debt Remedy process or call our Helpline:
- Income, including any benefits or pensions
- Household bills, including mortgage, rent, utilities and any missed payments
Other regular payments you make - Unsecured debts, such as credit cards, loans, overdrafts
- Secured debts, including mortgages or secured loans
- The value of any assets, for example your house, car or caravan
- Any court orders or court paperwork you have
